Makkah: A Saudi medical team at King Faisal Hospital, part of the Makkah Health Cluster, performed critical surgery on a 65-year-old Indonesian pilgrim who arrived at the hospital suffering from severe pain in her upper right thigh. Emergency room doctors promptly assessed the situation, and upon completing the necessary examinations, deemed that urgent surgery was essential to prevent gangrene. The highly skilled general surgery team swiftly intervened, performing a two-hour operation to address a strangulated femoral hernia. Following post-operative care and confirmation of improved health, the patient was discharged. This swift medical intervention ensured she could safely resume her Hajj journey.
