Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met, today, Wednesday, the Advisor for Middle East and North Africa Affairs in the Presidency of the French Republic, Patrick Durel.
A statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, “At the beginning of the meeting, Durel offered his condolences to the Iraqi government and people, regarding the painful fire accident that occurred in Al-Hamdaniya district, wishing mercy for the victims and a speedy recovery for the wounded.”
He added, “The upcoming visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Iraq was discussed, and the development of bilateral relations between Iraq and France was discussed, in accordance with the comprehensive strategic agreement signed between the two countries in all fields, especially in the field of investment, economy, energy and the environment.”
