During His Meeting With An Iranian Feminist Media Delegation.. The President Of The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Stresses The Positive Commonalities Between The Two Countries

The President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayyad Al-Lami, received at the Journalists Syndicate headquarters today, Wednesday, an Iranian feminist media delegation headed by Fatima Al-Ibrahimi, responsible for women’s affairs in the Association for Islamic Culture and Relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, they discussed many issues related to the women’s press in both countries and the necessity of exchanging experiences in the field of journalism and holding mutual courses and workshops in order to benefit from the long experience possessed by Iraqi women journalists.

Al-Ibrahimi expressed her readiness for joint cooperation in the near future, in order to enhance media relations between the two countries, indicating: “There are a number of women’s publications published in Arabic in Iran, in addition to publications that deal with women’s issues and the most important achievements of fair legislation and laws for women and children.”

The President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate presented to the visiting delegation the most prominent activities of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in the media and journalistic fields, including the work of Iraqi women journalists who confirmed their distinguished presence in this field.

Al-Lami stressed: “The close peoples share great public titles, and they must exchange experiences in the media field.”

The meeting was attended by a number of female colleagues, members of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate’s Council.
