The head of the Border Crossings Authority, Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, visited Zirbatiya border crossing last night and conducted an inspection tour to ensure the implementation of the procedures that are taking place smoothly in providing service to pilgrims heading to the holy governorate of Karbala to participate in the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The authority stated in a statement: “These measures come based on the Prime Minister’s directives to maintain communication and presence at all ports designated for the entry of pilgrims and to supervise the their retune back, which takes place on a regular basis.”
