Baghdad - Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, stressed, during her meeting with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, the importance of continuing to work on developing prospects for cooperation and partnership.

The Ministry of Finance said in a statement: “Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, stressed the strength of the cooperation relations between Iraq and France, and the continuous development and growth they are witnessing in all fields, especially with regard to the financial and business sector.”

The Minister pointed out, according to the statement, "the importance of continuing to work on developing the horizons of cooperation and partnership, benefiting from French expertise for the benefit of development and infrastructure projects in Iraq, and working to develop bilateral relations to more advanced levels in the interest of the two friendly countries."

For his part, Ambassador Chevalier expressed his country's government's aspiration to enhance the scope of constructive cooperation with Iraq, especially with regard to financial aspects, investment, and contribution to sustainable development projects in the country.
