The Popular Mobilization Forces and the army began a security operation to clear the Hatra desert, southwest of Nineveh Governorate.
A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority stated that the units of the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, represented by the Operations, Intelligence and Media Departments, the Support Mobilization Directorates and the 44th and 60th Brigades, began today, Wednesday, implementing a broad, three-pronged security operation to track down terrorist cells and raid and search a number of areas and villages located in the Hatra desert southwest. Nineveh Governorate, and units of the Iraqi army also participated in this operation.
