The national fencing team won third place again in the West Asian Championship, currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The team won the bronze medal in the epee competition for the under-20 teams after losing to its Omani counterpart on points.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the national team’s coach, Muhammad Dahesh, considered Yemen’s presence among the top quartet in the tournament out of the total participating countries, an achievement for Yemeni fencing.
