Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace(GCTP), attended the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Mohamed Muizzu of the Madives, and his Vice-President Hussain Mohamed Latheef. On behalf of the GCTP, Al Jarwan congratulated the Maldivian President-elect and his Vice-President during the event, which was held at the Republic Square in the capital Malé. Meanwhile, Hussain Mohamed Latheef, who is also member of the GCTP, received Al Jarwan and discussed with him ways to strengthen cooperation and joint action in tolerance and peace. The Vice-President of the Maldives reaffirmed his country's continued support for the GCTP and its efforts in promoting tolerance, love, security and peace. Mohamed Aslam, Speaker of the Maldivian Parliament, received Al Jarwan at the Maldivian Parliament's headquarters in Malé. The two sides discussed efforts to enhance cooperation and joint action within the parliamentary framework.
